My #5Star Review of The Glade by Harmony Kent @harmony_kent #RRBC
Why it caught my attention:
Whaaaat? I love the cover for this one, and am pulled in with questions running in my mind; who did Helen murder? did she actually do it? And, most importantly, what’s in the woods?
So glad I read it:
The Glade has been on my reading list for a while, and I wish I would’ve pushed it up in the list sooner. The story begins with an arrest of a distraught woman for killing her husband under strange circumstances. Then as the story unfolds, we learn what brought this couple to this point. There’s something evil in the forest that wants to destroy. This was a definite nail biter for me, and I love how dark the forest is, it made me nervous, wondering what was going to jump out at Helen and the others. If you’re looking for a great story with a well-balanced helping of lust and fear, definitely read this book.
Thanks Harmony for the beauty!
The Glade blurb:
The Wenstrops have it all: health, wealth, and happiness. Until everything falls apart. Helen gets arrested for murder, and yet is either unable or unwilling to give a defense. During her detention, vital evidence goes missing and tensions run high.
Meanwhile, in the woods, malignant forces gather power.
